Hey-o! I Got a Job

Well, it’s being brought to the board tonight. Brian (the other new teacher who I have only met once) and I will be at the school board meeting tonight awaiting their approval. One of the secretaries assured me that they have only ever voted against one person. Yikes! What did that guy do? 

So I’m making another 2-hour trek home (for the second time this week). But first I have to go to work. Long day. I’m going to be cutting it close. 

I’m very excited, though. I can’t wait to see my classroom. And find out what I’ll be teaching. Then I will need to begin the process of planning my year. It’s all very nerve-wracking. My anxiety levels are through the roof…but it’s in a good sort of way, I suppose. I am very grateful that I have found such a helpful community in the Tumblr Teachers. I have learned so many things from reading posts and checking out their resources.

I’m glad that things are looking up in my professional life because my personal life needs some help. One thing at a time.
